Michigan wine and food enthusiast Sharon Kegerreis has been called many things… Venus of the Vine. Wine chick. Wine goddess. Michigan ambassador. She answers to them all.
Sharon has co-authored two books on Michigan wine. Her first book, From the Vine: Exploring Michigan Wineries, is a 2008 Michigan Notable Book. Her just-released second book is The History of Michigan Wines, the first book to document the 150-year history of winemaking in Michigan along the Great Lakes. Sharon is working on her third Michigan book, while devoting her days to consuming delicious Michigan agriculture and blogging for Yellow Door, a local food initiative in Chelsea. Sharon thoroughly enjoys presenting to groups interested in Michigan wine country, in conjunction with book signings and sales.
