The Arts Alliance established the CREATIVE WASHTENAW AID fund to collect donations and extend assistance to the artists, creative workers, organizations and businesses adversely impacted by COVID-19. As funds are raised, aid is distributed.
The aim is success. We'll get there by working together.
Applications are being accepted as the campaign for CREATIVE WASHTENAW AID continues. That means we have to put out a number of statements to which applicants must agree. So here goes:
- I know that I am submitting an application but know there is no guarantee of support.
- I must complete and submit a W9 form to the Arts Alliance.
- I am applying as a representative of a business located in or I myself have current proof of living, working or going to school in Washtenaw County or am a member of The Arts Alliance.
- If I am applying as an independent artist or creative, I can provide proof of that status (past contracts, bookings, etc.)
- The Arts Alliance may, for reasons unknown to them at this time, require me to complete additional documentation.
- I know I may opt out of this process at anytime.

Applicants - How will CREATIVE WASHTENAW AID help?
Your answers to these questions, especially about aid received, will not impact Creative Aid support. We are gathering information for advocacy efforts.
Individual applicants - tell us how many bookings and your projected income lost for 2020. Did you apply for and receive unemployment or other emergency relief aid or grants?
Organizations - give us a general overview of the impact plus the more detail on staff and fixed costs. What are your most immediate concerns? Did you apply for PPP, EIDL,other CAREs Act resources or or other emergency relief aid or grants?? If so what did you receive to date and will it be enough to keep you solvent?
Yes, it's that question, isn't it? Give us your worst case scenario so we can give it to them. We can assume but the people and businesses being asked to make contributions to CREATIVE WASHTENAW AID want specifics.
